« Dans sa séance extraordinaire du printemps, tenue à Berne le 20 mai 1928, … la Société [Mathématique Suisse] a approuvé les conclusions du rapport de la commission chargée d'examiner la création d'un périodique destiné à grouper plus particulièrement la production mathématique suisse. Cette nouvelle revue aura pour titre Commentarii Mathematici Helvetici; ella sera éditée par la Maison Orell Füssli et Cie à Zurich. Chaque volume comprendra quatre fascicules d'environ 5 feuilles (prix de librairie : 25 francs). Le bureau du comité de rédaction est composé de MM. A. Speiser, président, R. Fueter, secrétaire-général, et G. Juvet, secrétaire-adjoint.

“At its special Spring meeting, held on May 20, 1928, … the Swiss Mathematical Society approved the conclusions of the Commission Report charged to examine the creation of a periodical intended primarily to collect Swiss mathematical work. This new journal will have Commentarii Mathematici Helvetici as a title; it will be published by Orell Füssli in Zurich. Each volume will include four issues of approximately five signatures (library price: 25 francs). The office of the editorial board is composed of A. Speiser, president, R. Fueter, secretary-general, and G. Juvet, assistant secretary.”
