Postdoctoral researcher, ERC starting grant project INVARIANT
One postdoctoral appointment is offered for a researcher in Mathematics with an excellent curriculum vitae having completed a PhD within the last 5 years (or completing his/her PhD by the end of 2013). The candidate is expected to work on subjects related to the ERC Starting Grant project Invariant Manifolds In Dynamical Systems and PDE under the direction of Dr. Daniel Peralta-Salas. There are no teaching duties.
The appointment will be for 2 years, starting during the first semester of 2014 (the starting date will be agreed with the candidate). The place of work will be the Instituto de Ciencias Matemáticas (Institute of Mathematical Sciences) ICMAT in Madrid (Spain).
The contract will be for a gross amount of 39000 €/year.
Aspiring candidates should be strongly motivated and have a solid background in the study of geometric properties of differential equations (either dynamical systems or PDE).
