Salary: AUD$61,138* - AUD$82,963 p.a. (Level A) or AUD$87,334 - AUD$103,705 p.a. (Level B), plus 9.25% superannuation. Level of appointment is subject to qualifications and experience.
(*PhD entry level AUD\$77,290 p.a.)

The Australian Research Council has funded the research project `A synthesis of random matrix theory for applications in mathematics, physics and engineering'. Random matrix theory enjoys an even expanding range of applications, and the aim of this project is to draw together seemingly disparate techniques to tackle problems from different applications.

Applicants must have: either a PhD in mathematics, or a PhD in physics; a strong publication record in the field of random matrices; and the ability and desire to work collaboratively.

The position tenure is full-time (fixed term), and is available for three years (Level A), or two years (Level B).
