Candidates should have an excellent research record in a field combining analytic and geometric methods. They should be interested in cooperating with existing research groups in the faculty, especially those in Algebra, Analysis and Geometry, and also offer an individual research profile, which preferably should include links to Mathematical Physics.
Responsibilities include teaching and mentorship of Bachelor and Master students of mathematics and of students studying to become teachers of mathematics.
Qualifications include a university degree, proven teaching aptitude, and a doctorate in addition to further academic achievements such as the completion of a post-doctoral thesis at the level of a German habilitation or experience as an assistant professor.
Candidates who will be 52 years of age or older at the time of appointment can only be considered in exceptional circumstances.
