The European Mathematical Society

Karen Vogtmann (Cornell University, http://www.math.cornell.edu/~vogtmann/) has been appointed as EMS-lecturer for the year 2011. She will give a series of lectures on " The topology and geometry of automorphism groups of free groups" at three occasions; two of them in 2012:
- during the conference "European Women in Mathematics" at the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica (CRM), Bellaterra, Barcelona, Spain, September 5-9, 2011; http://www.crm.cat/ewm/
- at Oxford University, February 10, 13, 14, 2012;
- at Stockholm, Sweden, in spring 2012 (dates to be fixed).
