The Institute of Mathematics Education at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Cologne invites applications for a
W2-Professorship in Mathematics Education
The focus of the candidate’s research will be on a current subject in mathematics education. Active participation in research and teaching activities in the Institute of Mathematics Education will be expected. Within the framework of the newly established Center of Education in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the incumbent will participate in interdisciplinary projects comprising the teaching and studying of mathematics and the natural sciences.
The applicant is expected to be able to contribute to teaching at all levels of mathematics education, including particularly undergraduate and graduate programs for pre-service mathematics teachers in primary, secondary and comprehensive schools as well as in pre-university, and special education.
Requirements for receiving the appointment are an excellent scientific track record in mathematics education and teaching qualification.
