Juniorprofessorship (W1 with tenure-track-option) for Analysis and Modeling

at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.

We are looking for an excellent young scientist doing research in the field of Analysis of Partial Differential Equations with additional expertise in Modeling of Scientific Problems. Candidates should actively take part in interdisciplinary research projects, especially within the Cells in Motion Interfaculty Centre (CiMIC).

Participation in the teaching program of the Institute for Computer Sciences and Applied Mathematics and interdisciplinary teaching is expected.

This position is at first temporary (for 3 years). After a positive evaluation it can be extend for another 3 years. After a second positive evaluatation it can be transferred into a permanent W2-position (Associate Professorhip). To establish a junior research group for 6 years, this position is additionally endowed with half a position (TV-l E13) for research personnel.

Prerequisites for the application for this Juniorprofessorship are a university degree, teaching ability and an outstanding ability for academic work which is usually proven by a dissertation's quality. The dissertation should date back no longer than five years.
