Assistent Professor position in algebra, geometry and mathematical physics at KdVI

The Korteweg-de Vries Institute for Mathematics (KdVI) of the University of Amsterdam is looking for an Assistant Professor in algebra, geometry and mathematical physics (38 hours per week, vacancy number W12-063). The posiion will start September 1, 2012. The appointment is for three years and will lead into a permanent appointment unless in case of bad performance. Applications should be sent before 1 May, 2012.

The current research in our section Algebra, geometry and mathematical physics focusses mainly on algebraic geometry, Lie theory and its generalizations, integrable systems, and geometric aspects of quantum theory. Cross-fertilization between the various disciplines within this large range of subjects is highly valued.
