The School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences has ambitious plans to develop its Mathematics programmes, with this post being the next step to extend our capability and capacity against a background of a doubling of applications for our undergraduate programme in the last two years. Future plans include an expansion of our research, development of partnership teaching in the UK and abroad and strengthening the breadth of our taught course portfolio.

They will work with existing staff from across the School and University to deliver our existing programmes and help us develop new activities. Successful applicants will pursue mathematics research with as part of a planned growth of our mathematics capabilities and capacity. An ability to collaborate internally and externally will be key, including with staff being appointed to complementary Mathematics teams at UCLan Cyprus and UCLan Thailand, the University's wholly-owned subsidiary institutes in those countries.
