The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Leipzig seeks to fill the following professorship to be filled at the earliest possible date:
W3 Professorship of Applied Mathematics / Stochastics
The Department seeks an internationally recognized scientist in to the field of applied mathematics related to probability theory. Areas of particular interest are e.g. mathematical statistical mechanics, stochastic differential equations, theory of stochastic processes in general.
The duties of the chair include the participation in the teaching in the undergraduate degree program in mathematics/business mathematics.
