In the project P24574 "Explicit Problems in Diophantine Analysis and Geometry'' funded by the FWF Austrian Science Fund a three-year PostDoc position is open for application. The project takes place at the Institute for Analysis and Computational Number Theory, TU Graz (Steyrergasse 30/II, Austria); it will probably be relocated to the University of Salzburg after about 6 months, the applicant should be open for that. The salary is about 58,780 EUR per year. The starting date for the position is Sept. 1, 2012.
The candidate must have a PhD degree in Number Theory or Diophantine Geometry. A solid background of the effective and ineffective theory of Diophantine approximation and at least basic knowledge of algebraic and arithmetic geometry is expected.
