The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (Institute for Mathematical Stochastics) at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen, Germany invites applicants for a position of a
Research Scientist/ Post-doc
(salary based on a German TV-L 13 Scale)

The position within the sub-project B5 „Partial least squares for serially dependent data“ is for a period of 3 years and based on a currently regular working time of 39.8 hours/week.
The project deals with the asymptotic properties of partial least squares method and its application to protein dynamics modelling in co-operation with the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry. Partial least squares is a statistical regularisation method that is closely related to particular numerical mathematics techniques. Therefore, successful candidates should have a strong background in mathematical statistics and/or numerical mathematics.
