Full Professorship in Geometric Analysis and Full Professorship in Differential Geometry
Applicants are expected to have outstanding academic credentials and an excellent track
record of scientific accomplishments:
focusing on integral geometry, convex geometry or functional analysis with potential
applications in technical or natural sciences in case of the professorship in Geometric
focusing on discrete differential geometry and integrable systems with potential
applications in technical or natural sciences in case of the professorship in Differential
The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to the institute’s
research output, to provide leadership for researchers and postgraduate students, and to attend
to appropriate teaching and administrative duties. Special consideration will be given to the
applicant’s ability and willingness to establish collaborations with institutions working in
related fields of research and the ability to attract external project funding.
Knowledge of German is not a vital precondition; however we expect a successful candidate
to have an adequate working knowledge of German.
The applicant must meet the following requirements: academic degree in the respective field
of either position, outstanding academic track record in research and teaching, pedagogic and
didactic skills, and leadership potential.
