In the 2012 National Student Survey we are ranked 6th out of all "full service" universities and we are now a member of the Russell Group of leading research-intensive institutions. Recent capital projects to the value of GBP 350 million pounds across the University ensure a truly world-class research and teaching environment and an inspirational location to work and live.

The College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences at the University of Exeter is continuing with a strategy of sustained investment in both academic staff and infrastructure to provide a catalyst for significant growth in both research activity and student experience. This appointment will bring new expertise to our teaching and project supervision in areas relevant to financial mathematics and/or computational finance.

Applicants for these posts will have a strong track record of research including international quality publications and experience of raising research funding at an appropriate level. They will draw on proven ability in, or display great potential for, teaching and/or curriculum development on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Professorial appointments will be leading international figures with the ability to attract world-class academics to their research groups. Applicants will be innovative researchers with a strong track record of research funding and international quality publications.

Associate Professor appointments will be leading authorities in their specialism with an international reputation, as evidenced by research publications, sustained funding as principal investigator and PhD supervision as well as other esteem indicators. Applicants will have experience of making significant contribution to the development and clarification of research strategy for their subject area. The successful applicant will contribute to our educational programmes and to the overall student experience.
