Short description of the event: 

The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science from Ovidius University, Constantza, in cooperation with the Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy (Bucharest) and the Romanian Mathematical Society will organize an International Conference on Fundamental Structures of Algebra to honor the 70th birthday of Professor Şerban Basarab, from the Romanian Institute of Mathematics. The conference will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Ovidius University, Constanta, Romania, from Wednesday, April 14, to Sunday, April 18, 2010.
There will be talks from Thursday, April 15, through Saturday, April 17. Accommodation expenses will be covered by the local organizers for the invited speakers.
We intend to have proceedings of the conference as well which will be published in our journal Analele Ştiinţifice ale Universităţii Ovidius, Seria Matematica (http://www.anstuocmath.ro/).
