Leeds is a long-established and internationally leading centre for research in geometry. Current interests include differential geometry, discrete geometry, geometric variational problems and applications of geometry in mathematical physics. The research group has particularly strong interactions with the Integrable Systems and Algebra groups. We seek to strengthen the Geometry group and reinforce its links with other groups by appointing to a Full or Associate Professorship an individual with an outstanding research record working in a compatible area of differential geometry, algebraic geometry, geometric analysis or mathematical physics.
