The European Mathematical Society

The EMS meetings committee has appointed Tamar Ziegler (Technion, Haifa, Israel) as EMS Lecturer in 2013. Prof. Ziegler is a specialist in ergodic theory and in number theory. She has collaborated with, amongst others, Vitaly Bergelson, Ben Green and Terence Tao. She will give a series of lectures under the title Dynamics and Number Theory at the
26th Nordic and 1st European-Nordic Conference of Mathematicians, at Lund, Sweden, 10-13 June 2013 and at the
16th General Meeting of EWM at the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, Bonn, Germany, 2-6 September 2013.
