An exciting research opportunity exists in combinatorial graph theory and design theory, in particular on graph factorisation problems.
The discipline of Mathematics is located within the School of Mathematics and Physics in the Faculty of Science at the University of Queensland. It is the leading provider of mathematics education in Queensland, and is internationally recognised for its research excellence.
The successful appointee will carry out high level research on an Australian Research Council funded project led by Dr Barbara Maenhaut (The University of Queensland). The project concerns graph decomposition and factorisation problems.
Applicants should possess a PhD, or equivalent, in mathematics, and have the necessary skills and background to carry out original research in combinatorial graph theory and design theory.
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment at Research Academic level A or B for three years. Appointment level is dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience. The remuneration package will be in the range $72,443 - $77,764 p.a. for Research Academic Level A and $81,857 - $97,205 p.a. for Research Academic Level B, plus employer superannuation contributions of 17% (total package will be in the range $84,759 - $90,984 p.a. for Research Academic Level A and $95,773 - $113,730 p.a. for Research Academic Level B).
