applications$stochastik.math.uni-goettingen.de Job Description: The Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Georg-August-University Göttingen, Germany invites qualified applicants for a permanent position of Research Scientist and Lecturer (salary TV-L 14, at a currently regular working time of 39.8 hours/week) to begin on October 1, 2013 at the Institute for Mathematical Stochastics The working assignments include teaching and coordinating the teaching process at the Institute of Mathematical Stochastics. The teaching load is seven hours per week during the semester. Teaching responsibility include particularly statistical lab courses and introductory courses in probability theory and statistics. Furthermore, the candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to research activities at the Felix-Bernstein-Chair of Mathematical Statistics (Prof. Dr. A. Munk) and to the planning and application process of research projects. The opportunity to a further individual scientific qualification is given (e. g. habilitation). Successful candidates should ideally demonstrate their qualifications for the requested requirements in teaching and research by a doctoral degree in the field of probability, mathematical statistics or a related area.
