School of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of St Andrews is looking to appoint a Regius Professor of Mathematics as a part of marking the University's 600th anniversary. This prestigious chair was established in 1668, and the first holder was James Gregory. The successful candidate will have expertise in an area of mathematical sciences, an internationally leading research reputation and a proven track record of academic leadership and engagement with students. We would like the appointment to expand our existing research portfolio but synergies with the current expertise will be welcomed. For further details and an informal discussion please contact Professor Nik Ruskuc, the Head of School, firstname.lastname@example.org, or go to https://www.vacancies.st-andrews.ac.uk/welcome.aspx.
