The Institute of Scientific Computing is seeking a PhD candidate and PostDoc to extend the research activities on parallel adaptive finite element methods and parallel solver techniques. The candidate should have a Diploma or Master degree in applied mathematics, scientific computing or compter science (respectively a PhD), excellent skills in object oriented programming in C++ and enthusiasm to work on exciting problems in applied mathematics, which are related to biology and materials science and require high performance computing. The positions are offered for 4 year. Excellent PostDoc candidates can be offered a long-term perspective at TU Dresden after the initial 4 year emplyment phase.
