At the Chair of Optimization and Inverse Problems, we offer the position of a

Teaching / Research Assistant (m/f)
(Postdoc / Ph.D. student)

Start date 10/01/2013 or by agreement

This position in pay grade TV-L E13 (75%) is a temporary assignment (initially up to three years, extension possible). Depending on the staffing situation at the Chair, the position can be extended up to 100 % for individual semesters, as and when required. This is already planned for the winter semester 2013 / 2014.

The job includes a teaching commitment according to the LVVO and offers the opportunity for further academic qualification / dissertation.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in working in the research environment of the Chair, with an excellent degree in mathematics (master or diploma). Candidates preferably have already finalized their theses in the subject of applied mathematics (such as numerics, partial differential equations, optimization and inverse problems).
