We are advertising a two-year position at the Mathematics Institute at the University of Heidelberg (http://www.mathi.uni-heidelberg.de/) starting September 2014 in the research group of Prof. Dr. Anna Wienhard http://www.mathi.uni-heidelberg.de/~diffgeo/)
The postdoctoral researcher will have access to funding for travel, conferences and visitors. He/She will have access to resources of the Mathematics Center Heidelberg (MATCH - see http://www.match.uni-heidelberg.de/) and to resources of the GEAR Network (GEAR - see http://gear.math.illinois.edu/).
Candidates should have excellent research potential with research interests in geometry, topology or group theory. Experience in the study of geometric structures, representations varieties or Higgs bundles is a plus. Knowledge of the German language is not required. Review of applications will begin in January 2014 and will continue until the position is filled.
