The Faculty of Mathematics at Bielefeld University is looking to appoint a postdoctoral researcher ("wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter")

The appointee's principal duties will be to conduct research and to contribute to the Faculty's teaching (4 hours per week during term
time). The appointment will initially be for two years, possibly for longer. By default the position is full-time; a part-time appointment may be negotiated. The relevant pay scale is E 13 TV-L.
Applicants should hold, or to be about to complete, a doctorate in a relevant mathematical subject area, such as algebra, number theory or
geometry. Research experience in asymptotic group theory will be an advantage, but is not essential.
Applicants must be able to teach in German or English. German language tuition may be provided.
