Biological network inference for inflammatory diseases

A postdoctoral position is available in the area of biological data analysis and in particular in the field of biological networks inference. The aim of the project is to study and develop new methods for the inference and differential analysis of dynamical models of biological networks, with applications mainly focused on preclinical and clinical data concerning inflammatory diseases.

This inter-disciplinary position will be jointly hosted by the Department of Mathematics at University Paris 13 (France), and by the INSERM team lead by E.Ogier-Denis at Bichat-Beaujon Hospital in Paris (France). The position will be funded by a consortium gathering eleven laboratories in France working on inflammatory processes (Labex Inflamex).

The candidate is expected to have a PhD in probability, statistics, optimization, dynamical systems, data analysis or machine learning, with a previous experience or strong interest for interdisciplinary research at the frontier between mathematics, data analysis and biology.

The initial appointment is for two years, and may be extended depending on performance and availability of funding. A competitive remuneration will be offered.
