Short description of the event: 

The research trimester focus on the role of combinatorial Hopf algebras at the interface of geometric control theory, algebraic combinatorics, and geometric numerical integration.

Malham (Edinburgh),D. Manchon (CNRS), H. Munthe-Kaas (Bergen), A. Murua (San Sebastian), W. Respondek (Rouen), A. Sarychev (Florence), F. Silva-Leite (Coimbra), J. Unterberger (Nancy) and G. Vilmart (Lausanne).
2) School: April 12-16, Location Benasque, Huesca (Spain)
Targeted at graduate and postdoctoral students in control, computation and combinatorics.
3) Research in Teams: April 19-June 18, Madrid (Spain),
2-4 researchers each work collaboratively on projects for periods of 2-4 weeks.
4) Advanced Course "Modern Algebraic Combinatorics and its Applications to Control Theory": May, 2010, Madrid (Spain)
Targeted at Ph.D. students.
5) International Conference: June 21-25, Madrid (Spain)
Summarizing current research results and redefining future research objectives.
