The new Faculty member is expected to become a leader in quantitative sciences as they apply to agricultural and environmental sciences. Responsibilities will include teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate level, as well as collaborative research with the other members of the Faculty. Candidates with a good background (PhD level) in statistical sciences and with a research experience in statistical methods applied to agronomy, biology, ecology, hydrology are highly desirable.
Preconditions for employment are: successful completion of academic studies at an institute of higher education, pedagogical aptitude, Ph.D./doctorate and postdoctoral qualification. Candidates should prove they represent their fields in teaching/research at an internationally approved standard. Only candidates already holding at a non-Italian University an academic position equivalent to the one they apply for are eligible for the position – according to the Italian law about “chiamata diretta”.

The newly founded Faculty of Science and Technology in Bozen (Italy) has an interdisciplinary approach by focusing in teaching and research on the sustainable development of mountain environments. Thus, the Faculty integrates disciplines of engineering, agricultural and natural sciences.
