The faculty of Mathematics at Kyushu University (Fukuoka, JAPAN) invites applications for TWO ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITIONS ("Jyokyo" in Japanese), starting in Fall 2010. The position is not tenure-track, and the term of employment is for five years. Applicants should have a PhD in Mathematics or in a related discipline.
Kyushu University is one of the major seven national universities in Japan, located at Fukuoka in the western part of Japan. The faculty of mathematics consists of about 70 members who are active in various areas of pure and applied mathematics.
