Lecturer in Financial Mathematics
Faculty of Informatics

Applications are sought for a continuing Lecturer in Financial Mathematics (Level B) in the School of Mathematics and Applied Statistics at the University of Wollongong. The School offers both a Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance and a Master of Financial Mathematics and has a strong research program in this area. We are seeking candidates with expertise in Financial Mathematics, with an emphasis on analytical and numerical solutions of financial derivative products. Applicants with interests that complement those of current academic staff are particularly encouraged.

The appointee will be expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate subjects, both in the area of Financial Mathematics and the School’s wider subject offerings. The appointee is also expected to develop a research program within the School, which supports and complements the School’s existing research efforts in Financial Mathematics, and to supervise honours and postgraduate research students. Demonstrated excellence in research and the potential to attract external research funding is essential.
