Applications are invited for two University Postdoctoral Research Fellowships in Analysis, one to be held in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics (DPMMS) and the other in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP). The Fellowships are associated with the Cambridge Centre for Analysis, an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training, which is a joint project of DPMMS and DAMTP.
The Fellowships are available for up to three years, commencing on 1 October 2011 or otherwise by agreement. The appointment will be made at an appropriate point on the University's Postdoctoral Research Associate scale.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Mathematics and have demonstrated a capability to produce world class research in some branch of Analysis (including Pure, Stochastic, Applied and Computational Analysis).
The duties of the Research Fellows are to pursue independent research in Analysis, to pursue research interactions with academic staff associated with the Cambridge Centre for Analysis, and to enhance the academic environment of doctoral students.
