You will research in the area of Bayesian Inverse Problems in Differential Equations, directed by Andrew Stuart of the Warwick Mathematics Institute and supported by EPSRC. You will receive support for computing resources and conference travel and may have at most a light teaching load.
You will have experience and strong research potential in a number of the following research areas: nonlinear partial differential equations, inverse problems, stochastic differential equations, data assimilation, Bayesian statistics and MCMC methods. You will have strengths in either analysis or computational mathematics.
Please send a CV, list of publications, a research statement. Three letters of reference should be submitted by your referees to Georgina.Copeland@warwick.ac.uk before the closing date.
You must be available to take up this post by 1 October 2011.
