Post-doctoral position

Job Description: 

Applications are open for one research post-doctoral position in Mathematics within the scope of the Portuguese Science Foundation project "Randomness in Deterministic Dynamical Systems and Applications" (PTDC/MAT/105448/2008).
The position is for one year, starting before the end of 2011, with the possibility of extension for a second year upon mutual agreement and budget approval. The salary is 17940 euros/year (tax free), and there are no teaching duties associated with the position.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mathematics (or equivalent) obtained preferably after January 1, 2008, and must show very strong research promise in the area of Dynamical Systems and Applications.

The candidate will be based either at CEMAPRE (Centro de Matemática Aplicada à Previsão e Decisão Económica) or at CMAF (Centro de Matemática e Aplicações Fundamentais), depending on the topic of research.
